At Mount Grant General Hospital, our Homemaking Services are designed to support elderly individuals and persons with disabilities who wish to remain in the comfort of their own homes while receiving non-medical assistance. Funded by an ADSD grant, our mission is to enhance each client’s quality of life through personalized, compassionate, and dignified care.
Our goal is to help clients maintain their independence by providing support tailored to their physical, emotional, and social needs. We’re here to help you or your loved one live safely, stay organized, and manage day-to-day routines with ease.
Each homemaking plan is customized based on a home assessment and personal consultation. Services include:
General cleaning
Laundry (at home or laundromat if needed)
Grocery shopping
Light meal preparation
Medication refill reminders and pill organizers
Calendar making and appointment planning
Mail delivery and light banking errands
Light household organization
Shower/bath assistance
Custom tasks upon request
Note: No medical care is provided. Personal Care Assistant (PCA) services are available to Medicaid-authorized clients only.
Our team makes it easy to get started:
Identify a need – for yourself, a family member, or a neighbor
Consult a provider if you’d like help assessing eligibility
Schedule an Interview by phone or email with our Homemaking Director
Receive a Home Assessment – to evaluate eligibility and create a personalized care plan
Start Services at a time that fits your schedule
To ensure the safety and professionalism of our team and clients, we ask all participants to follow these guidelines:
Pets must be secured away from service areas
No smoking while a Homemaker is in the home
Clients must be cooperative, sober, and of sound mind
Homemakers cannot accept tips or gifts
All Homemakers are trained, background-checked, fingerprinted, and drug tested
All services comply with HIPAA and confidentiality standards
Your generous support helps us continue offering essential non-medical in-home services to our community. Donations are entirely optional and go directly to improving and expanding homemaking support through the hospital.
