X-rays are commonly used to evaluate bone injuries, lung conditions, and internal abnormalities. We offer:

  • Two fully equipped general X-ray rooms

  • Portable X-ray unit for bedside imaging in ER, long-term care, and inpatient settings

Ultrasound

Ultrasound uses sound waves to capture real-time images of organs and blood flow. Exams include:

  • General, OB, and vascular ultrasounds

  • Machine: Siemens Acuson S2000

  • Schedule: 2–3 days/month, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM

CT (Computed Tomography)

CT scans provide cross-sectional views of soft tissues, bones, and blood vessels, offering superior clarity for diagnosing:

  • Internal injuries, tumors, infections, and vascular diseases

  • Bone density scans to detect osteoporosis and osteopenia

Technology: Philips Ingenuity 64-slice (128-slice) CT Scanner
Weight Capacity: Up to 450 lbs, 70 cm wide bore
Contrast Used: Omnipaque 300/350, Gastrografin oral contrast

Mobile MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging)

MRI uses magnetic fields to produce high-resolution images of organs, tissues, and joints. We offer:

  • General MRIs and MRAs, with or without contrast

  • Contrast Used: Prohance

  • Schedule: Every other Thursday (8:00 AM–12:00 PM) and Friday (8:00 AM–4:00 PM)

  • System: GE SIGNA Voyager 1.5T mobile MRI with 70 cm bore, 450 lb capacity

Echocardiography

Echocardiograms assess heart function and structures, including:

  • Bubble studies (to detect PFOs)

  • Contrast imaging with Optison for difficult cases

  • Pediatric echocardiograms for patients under 18

  • Schedule: 2 days/month, 8:00 AM–2:30 PM

What to Expect: Patient Preparation

Proper preparation ensures the most accurate results. Here are a few examples:

  • CT with Contrast: Requires recent labs, fasting, and IV placement

  • MRI: Metal screening is mandatory; IV placement for contrast-enhanced scans

  • Ultrasound Abdomen/Renal: Fasting or drinking water as directed

  • Echocardiograms: May require IV for contrast; no fasting needed
