Mt. Grant General Hospital is accepting applications for the position of full-time Assistant DON/Utilization Review Nurse. The primary duty of this position is to monitor adherence to the hospital’s utilization review plan to ensure the effective and efficient use of hospital services, monitor the appropriateness of hospital admissions and extended hospital stays and work with provider to obtain documentation to meet insurance requirements for qualifying stay. In addition, position will act as Assistant Director of Nursing responsible for maintaining standards of care in the facility. The position participates as a member of the hospital’s management team in planning, policy formulation, and administrative decision making with particular reference to the role, functions, and operations of the hospital’s nursing services, employee health and infection control and Pharmacy. Position will also be required to provide floor coverage, as needed. Reports to the Director of Nursing.
Wage begins at $50.00/hour and adjusts depending on experience
