Mt. Grant General Hospital is accepting applications for the positions of Physical Therapy Tech. This is a per diem position (no benefits). Transfers to full time will be considered after successful introductory training period and evaluation. Wage: $16.95/hr Per Diem Status

Under the supervision and direction of the Physical Therapist, the Physical Therapy Tech supports physical therapy care delivery by preparing treatment area, patient, equipment and materials and performing procedures.  Assist patients move to and from therapy sessions or position them on equipment.   Assists with physical therapy exercises. Responsible for sanitizing equipment and work space to maintain infection control.

The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. This position can be physically demanding and often requires incumbent to stoop, kneel, crouch, lift, and stand for long periods. In addition, very heavy work of moving objects in excess of 100 pounds with frequent lifting and/or carrying of item’s weighing 50 pounds or more.  Responsible for lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling objects. Ability to perceive similarities and differences in color. Eye-hand-foot coordination. Ability to move fingers easily and skillfully. Ability to perceive pertinent details and verbal or tabular material.  Constant standing and walking required in working with patients. Ability to comprehend Doctors orders is an essential element of this job.

Minimum qualifications are any combination of training, education, and experience that would provide the required knowledge, skills and ability such as:

• Must be a high school graduate or equivalent.
• Per NRS 449 and NRS 200, successful applicant(s) must pass required state and federal background checks. 
• Be available to work 10 hour shifts every Monday and Tuesday
• Be available to cover and fill-in for other employees
• Ability to be cross-trained in an office setting, making appointments, and answering phones
• Meet physical requirements listed above.
• Hospital/Rehab experience preferred
• Customer service experience preferred
