Mt. Grant General Hospital is accepting applications for the position of Maintenance Assistant.  The Maintenance Assistant is responsible for executing work under the direction of the Facilities Director to ensure maintenance and repairs of facility are maintained appropriately and to assure all equipment and systems function properly and safely.  Applicants must have knowledge of building maintenance techniques and equipment operation in a hospital setting including emergency generator, auto transfer switch, boilers, plumbing, heating, cooling, electrical system, sanitation, water systems and understand codes and regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

be a high school graduate or equivalent AND

graduate of a technical school desired for this position or education level sufficient to have gained the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform basic maintenance functions AND two years of general experience in maintenance type work AND

possess a valid driver’s license

AND per NRS 449 and NRS 200.5091, successful applicant(s) must pass required state and federal background checks.  

The position is required to work calls at night and on weekends.
