Facilities Technician

Mt. Grant General Hospital is accepting applications for the position of Full Time Facilities Technician.  The Facilities Technician is responsible for executing work under the direction of the Director of Facilities to assure maintenance and repairs of facility are maintained appropriately and to assure all equipment and systems function properly and safely. The Facilities Technician uphold safety standards for all areas of the hospital and are responsible for preventative maintenance on various types of equipment. The position falls under HIPAA Guidelines and regulations and Resident/Patient’s Rights Clauses. $24.84/hour – $32.50/non-exempt DOE

Applicants must have knowledge of  building maintenance techniques and equipment operation in a hospital setting including of emergency generator, auto transfer switch, boilers, plumbing, heating, cooling, electrical system, sanitation, water systems and understand codes and regulations AND

Be a high school graduate or graduate of a technical school desired for this position or education level sufficient to have gained the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform basic maintenance functions AND

Two years of general experience in maintenance type work AND possess a valid driver’s license

AND two years of experience with plumbing or certification

AND 2 years of electrical maintenance experience or certification

AND per NRS 449 and NRS 200.5091, successful applicant(s) must pass required state and federal background checks.   The position is required to work call on nights and weekends.  The Full Time Maintenance Assistant is required to work stand by, call back, and be available on nights and weekend.
